Backpack brand Salkan approached J Mansfield Ltd with the brief to create a rugged, striking space for shoppers to visit whilst also complying with social-distancing guidance. OSB was chosen as the primary material due to the contrast of colour with the merchandise and the wood strands mimicking a rockface, further enhanced by the addition of climbing holds and a chamfered wall.

Wooden dowel pegs display the bags and printed foam boards applied to the walls tell the brand’s story. Plants add another colour and connect the outdoors. Vinyls applied to the windows and floor further translate the brand logo and also remind visitors of social distancing.
