The client was keen to have these back-lit so that the items on display were illuminated whilst also making a feature of the joinery. The colours of the backlit panels were fully adjustable, supplied with a wireless colour wheel they range from white through the whole colour spectrum and also included a dimming option. We used an energy efficient LED panel for this and fitted frosted glass shelves to accentuate the glow of the coloured back panel throughout the unit. The cabinets were manufactured from a veneered oak board with a dark stain to closely match the Client’s existing furniture. Minimal glass doors on soft close hinges maintain the focus on the display whilst protecting the contents. The cabinet beneath the TV also included a white glass lining to further amplify the lighting from the backlit panel, finished off with a marble countertop.
