As principal contractor, J Mansfield Ltd oversaw the whole project using our network of subcontractors to help turn a concrete shell into the Architect’s vibrant design. The wide range of materials, shapes and finishes proved to be a challenge which we thrived on, turning this project around from start to handover within 10 weeks. The design features terrazzo floors and wall cladding, gloss painted walls, mirror stainless steel curved counters and window reveals, neon signage, a bespoke kitchen, prep areas and various shelving units. Detail was key with this install with even the paintwork in various shapes. Challenges included installing an under-lit fiberglass bench which curled up the wall as well as a life-size model of a shark head! Behind all the clean, shiny finishes was a network of pipework and cable systems which we scheduled and coordinated with the various trades. Alongside this we ensured that health and safety regulations were followed by all operatives and site visitors in accordance to CDM15, leading to a timely and efficient handover.
